Macy Olivas is a graduate of Whitworth University where she studied Sociology and Leadership Studies. When she was a senior at The Preuss School UCSD, she became a recipient of the Weil Family Scholarship (then known as theMKC College Scholarship) and after college, returned to us as the family foundation's executive director. Her past experience includes working with Teach For America, The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Stand For Children, and other educational equality advocacy groups. Macy's own educational opportunities inspired her interest in education reform and community development. Originally from San Diego, Macy also works alongside individual donors and family foundations in their domestic and international giving in her position with Client Services at Christopher Weil & Company, Inc. She currently serves on the on the board of Catalyst of San Diego & Imperial Counties (previously known as Grantmakers) and The Latina Giving Circle of San Diego.
